(WXYZ) — Police are investigating break-ins at three cell phone stores in the metro Detroit area.
Two of them occurred in Sterling Heights and one occurred in Troy.
Police say they are investigating all three break-ins as if they were committed by the same suspects.
In Troy, a T-Mobile store on Rochester Road was broken into. Officers found the front door smashed out and several display model phones were stolen.
A Sprint store on Hall Road and a T-Mobile Store on Van Dyke were broken into in Sterling Heights. Police say two suspects smashed the front windows and numerous cell phones and other merchandise were stolen. A third suspect was waiting in an SUV outside. Police say the suspects fled before officers arrived. Both break-ins occurred around 3:30 a.m. Friday.
Police continue to investigate.
