Police investigating fatal shooting on Detroit's east side

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened on the city's east side early Sunday.

The shooting happened just after midnight on May 12 in the 3400 block of Van Dyke.

The victim, a 24-year-old black woman, had exited her car and was walking when suspects in a black Chrysler 300 fired shots. The victim was hit in the body and then transported to a local hospital where she died.

There is no other description of the suspects immediately available.
