Sterling Heights police say they are investigating a shooting that occurred in the parking lot outside of a hookah lounge on Van Dyke early this morning.
Police were called to the Empire Hookah Lounge around midnight Friday. The business is located at 34792 Van Dyke.
Police say a 22-year-old man was shot in the stomach and leg in the incident. He was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition, according to police.
No suspects have been identified at this time.
An investigation is ongoing.
