Police investigating string of larcenies at Oakland University

ROCHESTER, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Oakland University Police Department is investigating multiple larcenies reported over the last several days.

Police say the incidents have occurred in a variety of buildings around campus.

Items stolen include cash and cell phones taken from unattended purses.

Police say witnesses have described the suspect as a "very thin black man in his 20s, approximately six feet tall with no facial hair. He has been seen wearing a black ball cap, brown pants and a jacket that possibly has an insignia on the chest. He has also been seen carrying a laptop bag."

All larcenies have occurred between 9 a.m. and noon, police say.
