DETROIT (WXYZ) — UPDATE: The parents have been located. Police say the child is safe and with his grandmother.
His mother allegedly fell asleep when the child wandered out of the house.

Detroit police are looking for the parents of a found 2-year-old boy.
Police say at approximately 7:50 a.m. on Monday, a citizen saw the boy walking down the street alone, crying, in the 8200 block of Asbury Park.
The citizen immediately conveyed the 2-year-old to the Detroit Police Department's 6th Precinct.
Police say the child has braided hair and is wearing a gray shirt with a yellow train on the front, green/gray camouflage pants with car patterns, and a gray/black/white champion gym-shoes.
