Detroit police looking for carjacking suspect

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating a carjacking that happened Saturday in the area of San Juan and McNichols.

According to a preliminary investigation by police, a 29-year-old man met another man at a Marathon gas station at 9:25 p.m. on Saturday. The two were going to another location when the suspect pulled a gun and demanded the 29-year-old's car, a 2008 white Chevy Equinox with plate number DJC8174.

The suspect then fled southbound on San Juan.

The suspect is described as a black man between age 19 and 21. He's 6 feet tall, medium build, dark complexion, short wavy hair, goatee and was wearing all black.
