EASTPOINTE, Mich. (WXYZ) — Police are searching for two men after a man was shot in his home in Eastpointe Wednesday night.

The 28-year-old man is in critical condition.

Eastpointe police say they received several calls for shots fired. As they were heading to the area, police say a woman called, telling them her boyfriend had been shot in their home.

Family members say the girlfriend was about to pull into the driveway when she saw two people shooting at her house. She and their 4-month-old daughter were heading home after doing laundry at a relative's house.

Police say the man was shot multiple times in the chest.

Police have been told that two men wearing dark colored clothing shot through the front door before getting away in a dark colored vehicle. They were last seen heading towards 9 Mile.

A GoFundMe page has been set up by the victim's girlfriend's family, where they identified the victim as Ryan, who is suffering from a mild ruptured lung.
