WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) — The suspect involved in the barricaded gunman situation at the Hampton Inn has been taken into custody, according West Bloomfield police.

Police were on the scene of a barricaded gunman situation at the Hampton Inn on Northwestern Highway in West Bloomfield.
Officers said there was a man with a handgun staying in a room on the west side of the hotel.
Someone called 911 around 2 a.m., saying they saw a woman running naked in the hallway and screaming.
Police said they found that woman, who told them she is a victim of domestic abuse.

The suspected gunman was believed to be the woman’s husband.
Police said he has not made any threats toward them or others but are using an abundance of caution.
The woman was taken to the hospital.
