Dearborn Heights police are warning residents of a recent stranger danger.
Police say a man tried to lure an elementary school student into his car on Tuesday in the area of Eton Avenue and Bedford Street near Bedford Elementary School.
We're told the man approached the child and said, "your parents are in the hospital come with me."
He's described as a white man with light brown hair, a goatee, and glasses.
He may have been behind the wheel of a silver or gray Chevy Malibu.
Police are encouraging parents to talk to their children about the danger of talking to strangers and the importance of reporting such incidents.
