(WXYZ) — Michigan State Police issued an endangered missing advisory early Wednesday for a 55-year-old woman who police say was assaulted and kidnapped. She has since been found safe, they said Wednesday night.

According to police, Carol Debbie Durand was reportedly assaulted and kidnapped in a 2007 black Honda Accord Wednesday around 2:30 a.m.

Carol, police say, was taken by Gabriel Charles Wagner from the area of 5231 Pointe Drive in East China Township. Police say Gabriel is her estranged partner. He reportedly has four registered firearms.

Wagner was arrested on felony warrants and transported to the Hancock County Jail.

Detectives from St. Clair County are on scene conducting interviews along with Findlay Police.

Wagner may also face charges in Ohio because of this incident.
