Young girl reunited with family after wandering alone in Detroit, police say

DETROIT (WXYZ) — A young girl has been reunited with her family after she was found wandering alone in Detroit on Friday.

The child was found around 5:25 p.m. near Washburn Street and Cambridge Avenue, police said. They believe she is 2 or 3 years old and her name may be Auroura.

Police were searching for the girl's family. Later on Friday, police said they found the girl's family.

Police released a photo of the child. 7 News Detroit has removed the photo since police have found her family.

The incident remains under investigation, police said. Additional details were not released.
