HAMTRAMCK, Mich. (WXYZ) — A woman who police believed could have been in danger after she was reported missing in Hamtramck has been found safe, officials say.
Linda Ward, 44, was last seen on Dec. 11 at Whiskey in the Jar in Hamtramck. Police say family and friends were not able to contact Ward. She was reported missing on Dec. 14.
Police say as of Thursday at 8:30 p.m., she has been found safe and her family has been notified.
Ward's two Husky dogs were also found safe, police said.
"The Department extends its sincere appreciation to the community for the outpouring of concern, information, and assistance provided throughout the search," the Hamtramck Police Department said in a statement.
Additional information is not being released to protect Ward and her family's privacy.
