Police seek suspect who robbed Detroit restaurant after ordering food

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are looking for a man who entered a local restaurant, ordered food then robbed the place before fleeing.

The robbery happened Saturday, Nov. 16 at 5:27 p.m. at a restaurant in the 2800 block of W. Grand Blvd.

The suspect entered the location and ordered food. Police say he then ate his food before approaching the cashier and demanding money.

Investigators say the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money, then fled on foot east bound on West Grand Boulevard.

Police describe the suspect as a man in his 30s or 40s. He's between 5 feet 11 and 6 feet 2 inches tall, and weighs about 180 to 200 pounds. He has a medium complexion, mustache and goatee.

The suspect was last seen wearing a royal blue hat with a "D" in the middle, black hooded coat, dark blue jeans, black boots and dark sun glasses.
