BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — Police are investigating a fatal crash in Bloomfield Township that happened Friday night.
On Jan. 24 around 3:53 p.m., Bloomfield Township Police and Fire responded to a report of a single vehicle crash.
Police say reports indicated a 2007 Chevy Impala was traveling eastbound on Walnut Lake at what appeared to be a high rate of speed, failed to stop for the red light at Franklin and continued into a series of trees.
The lone occupant of the Chevy, a 68 year old man from West Bloomfield, was then taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
