A woman has been injured after colliding with a deer while riding her motorcycle in Greenleaf Township, according to the Sanilac County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say on Sunday around 8:30 p.m., a 55-year-old woman was injured on N. Van Dyke Road near Wright Road.
An investigation revealed that the woman, from Waterford, was northbound on her 2008 Harley Davidson Motorcycle on Van Dyke and had a collision with a deer in the roadway. She was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained injuries, officials say.
Deputies say she is being treated for her injuries. Additionally, alcohol was believed to be a factor.
