INKSTER, Mich. (WXYZ) — Police are investigating after a woman was shot while sitting in her living room in Inkster.
Troopers were dispatched to the 30000 block of Grandview for a shooting.
Police say the 36-year-old woman was sitting on the couch in her living room. As she was looking at her phone, she was struck in the hand by a rifle round that came through the window.
She was taken to the hospital by family members. Police say one rife shell casing and a rifle grip was located in the roadway in front of her home.
Police say it does not appear the victim was targeted.
