PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) — A 66-year-old Pontiac man was arrested for allegedly exposing himself to children at Hawthorne Park.

Deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office received a report that the suspect reportedly exposed himself to some children and, when he was confronted by the complainant, he allegedly pulled a knife on them as they attempted to follow them.

Upon arrival, deputies located the suspect and took him into custody. Deputies spoke with witnesses who told them that children playing inside the park reportedly saw the suspect masturbating and had notified their parents.

The parents of the children saw the suspect pulling up his pants and then confronted them, police say. The suspect allegedly pulled a knife on them and threatened to kill them as he attempted to walk away, police say.

The suspect was arrested for Indecent Exposure and Assault. He was lodged at the Oakland County Jail.
