Pope Francis is back at the Vatican after an event-filled six day trip to the United States.
The Holy Father made stops in Washington D.C., New York and Philadelphia.
When the pope arrived home, his official Twitter page tweeted out:
"With my heartfelt thanks. May the love of Christ always guide the American people! #GodBlessAmerica"
During his trip, Pope Francis spoke to Congress and the United Nations, met with church leaders and other Catholics, and even visited a prison.
This was the first trip to the United States for Pope Francis.
WXYZ's Dave LewAllen was in Philadelphia to cover his visit. Watch his piece in the video player above.
