WOODHAVEN, Mich. (WXYZ) — Startling photos of damage were posted to the Woodhaven Police Department's Facebook page following Saturday's thunderstorm. Portions of Vreeland and Hall roads, on the border of Flat Rock and Woodhaven, are closed to traffic due to multiple downed poer lines.

DTE Energy says seven power lines were taken out by the storm. One snapped in half then came crashing down onto a fence. It's the aftermath of a fast and furious storm many driving along Vreeland weren't expecting.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for about 20 minutes Saturday afternoon. Some people didn't even notice.

DTE is out working on repairs. The company says it's hopeful the roads will reopen late Sunday night.
