A woman expecting her first child next year was car jacked by a man with a gun Wednesday night across the street from Nikki's pizza on Beaubien in Greektown.
Elizabeth, who does not want her full name or face revealed out of fear for her safety, was getting something out of her trunk when a man on a bike jumped off and approached her with a gun. He held the weapon just inches away from her face. She pleaded for her life and that of her unborn child's.
"I said I'm pregnant please, you know. I didn't matter anything I said I just tried to not upset him," she said.
The gunman took Elizabeth's purse, phone, and keys before speeding away in her silver 2004 Dodge Stratus.
"All I could think of was just don't, don't get shot. Don't do anything to scare him into shooting you."
The gunman is a black male in his 20s. He's about five three, 150 pounds, and has a goatee. He left the bike he was on behind. Police hope it will help them find him.
Elizabeth desperately wants him off the streets.
"It's just a pure like, just an evil deed. You know? And I'm sure if he did it once he can do it again."
If you can identify the gunman contact Detroit police.
