Representatives for President-Elect Donald Trump have filed an objection to the presidential election recount filed yesterday by Green party nominee Jill Stein.
According to the Michigan Secretary of State's Office, the recount that was scheduled to begin on Friday in Oakland, Ingham and other counties has been postponed.
Under Michigan law, the recount is halted when the Board of State Canvassers resolves the objection.
Stein filed the petition on Wednesday in Michigan. She has already requested recounts in both Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
On Monday, the state certified the election and the state's 16 electoral votes for Trump. The Board of State Canvassers said Trump won by 10,704 votes in what was the closest presidential race in Michigan in more than 75 years.
