Update 2:

Twitter has released a second statement, saying they are conducting a full internal review after their investigation determined President Trump's Twitter account was deactivated by an employee on their last day with the company.

Update:

Twitter has released a statement through one of their verified accounts, saying that Donald Trump's Twitter account was "inadvertently deactivated due to human error by a Twitter employee."

Original story:

President Donald Trump's Twitter account, @RealDonaldTrump, briefly went offline.

When searching for his Twitter handle, users were redirected to a page saying, "Sorry, that page doesn't exist!"

Reports say the account was down anywhere from 5 to 24 minutes.

Twitter users were confused as to what could have caused the brief account takedown.

Other users took the opportunity to take a few jabs.
