Posted

A psychologist who was beaten at his office in Dearborn testified Thursday against the couple charged in the crime.

Dr. Melvin Hoberman, 75, told the court he was knocked unconscious and suffered multiple injuries in the attack that occurred in October.

Emanuel Vaughn has been charged with assault and armed robbery conspiracy along with the doctor's patient, Jasmine Moore.

Hoberman testified that Moore had been coming to him for several years. He admitted he had given Moore cash and bought her items worth about $7,000.

Testimony will resume next week. After the hearing wraps up, a judge will decide whether Vaughn and Moore will stand trial.
