DETROIT (WXYZ) — The QLINE is joining Dart, metro Detroit's regional transit payment system.

QLINE will modify its fare structure to match DDOT and SMART. Beginning Oct. 1, the QLINE will sell two regional fares:

  • A 4-hour regional Dart pass with unlimited transfers between systems for $2 with a reduced fare price of 50 cents for qualified riders
  • A 24-hour regional Dart pass with unlimited transfers between systems for $5, with a reduced price of $2.

Dart's 7-day and 31-day passes will also be accepted on the streetcar.

QLINE passengers and bus riders will have the ability to take unlimited rides on all systems, eliminating transfers and additional fees.

On Sept. 30, QLINE will eliminate its 3-hour and day-pass fares. The monthly pass program will continue for the remainder of 2019.
