Detroit rapper Big Sean announces D.O.N. Weekend 2018, which will include a Detroit block party, private fundraiser for the Motown Museum and other community activities, according to the event's website.

D.O.N. Weekend, which stands for Detroit's On Now Weekend, is a "celebration of neighborhood and a tribute to the Detroiters, local business owners, activists, teachers, and churches who are the backbone of the city."

Events kick off on Thursday, June 21, and wrap up on Monday, June 25.

There will be a two-day fashion mogul challenge presented by Puma and the Charles H. Wright Museum, where aspiring fashion entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to compete for $25,000.

The big event – a Detroit block party – will take place on Saturday, June 23.

The block party will be open to the public from noon to 10 p.m. and will include a cookout, three-on-three basketball tournament, a live DJ, dance-offs, and outdoor movie and all-you-can-eat Coneys.
