SOUTHGATE, Mich. (WXYZ) — A staple in the Southgate community is closing after serving customer for 100 years.
Ray Hunter Florist & Garden announced its closure on Facebook, adding that "family and staff" are now retirement age, and are anticipating beginning new adventures.
"We are grateful to our customers and friends for 100 years of patronage and support," the Facebook post read. "It has been a pleasure for the Hunter Family to serve our community since 1919."
The last day of sales will be Sunday, July 14.
