DETROIT (WXYZ) — A dozen people were rescued after multiple sailboats capsized on the Detroit River Wednesday evening.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. just east of the Belle Isle Bridge.
Officials say seven sailboats were on the river when rough weather caused four sailboats to capsize. There were 12 people who needed to be rescued by first responders and others nearby.
No one was hurt, officials say.
