Police say a 14-year-old was killed after he blew a stop sign on a minibike and was hit by a car late Friday.

It happened at Rosemont and Paul, near the Southfield Freeway.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene.

Police say they tried to stop the teen with two squad cars because he was speeding. However, they quickly broke off the pursuit.

We're told the accident happened just seconds later.
