Detroit police are on the scene of a shooting on the city's west side.
7 Action News has learned a 26-year-old man was shot in the arm. Neighbors noticed him walking with a wounded arm, came to his aid and called 911.
The scene is near W. Chicago and the Southfield Freeway.
We are told he was says he was standing in front of the home when the suspect walked up and shot him.
Witnesses say he was pushing a baby carriage, and the child was not injured.
The suspect is described as a African American man with a full beard. He was wearing a black hoodie and ripped blue jeans.
He is in custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
