A 45-year old man is dead after being struck by a stray bullet.

It happened on the Detroit's west side, near Chopin and McGraw.

Michael Mancinni was riding his bike home from the store when two vehicles started shooting at each other.

Mancinni found himself caught in the crossfire.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police do not have a description of the suspects, but they say one was driving a red car. The other vehicle was black.

"I'm heartbroken... the stupidity of what they did to him. He was not doing anything, only bike riding. I really hope they catch them.  I really do," said Delia Mora, Mancinni's mother.

A GoFundMe Page has been created to help with funeral costs.
