Forty-two-year-old Harold “Nephew” Nero will remain in federal detention until trial on charges of Sex Trafficking by Force, Conspiracy, Distribution of Drugs and Maintaining a Drug House.

U. S. Marshals on the DFAT team arrested him Wednesday night at a Detroit home. Nero did not fight detention during a brief court hearing in Federal Court Friday.

The alleged ringleader, Darrick “Tone” Bell remains on the loose.

Evidence in the case shows 14 women were rescued from the Victory Inn Motel on Michigan Avenue during a bust in January. Forty of the 42 rooms were allegedly used for drugs and prostitution.

Others charged include Janette Tawfik who was allegedly called “The Dragon Lady” by women kept as prostitutes.  She also allegedly dated Bell. She’s also being held in detention.
