A dog is recovering after being neglected and tied to a fence next to burnt down building.

Wednesday an animal control officer from Hazel Park found the dog. She had bite marks and could barely walk.

Vets say she is heartworm positive and has a mass tumor on her rear right leg.

Lily is what she’s being called for now. She is a pit bull and is around 3 to 4-years-old.

Mike Diesel with the Detroit Youth and Dog Rescue say she’s been taken to a 24-hour hospital in Romeo.
