Seventy-five year old Betty Dickens lives on the 3200 block of Taylor in Detroit and wanted something done about the abandoned home she lives next to.
We called the city, they reached out to Motor City Blight Busters who came right away yesterday to check it out.
And today, a crew came out, secured the porch which was falling apart, cleaned up around the house, and boarded it up.
Ms. Dickens says she feels a lot safer now on the block she lived on since 1962.
