Detroit police are investigating after a passenger stabbed a cab driver Monday afternoon on the city's west side. According to police, it happened in the 6200 block of Linwood.
Police say the driver called 911 saying that a male passenger he was driving had stabbed him in his body while sitting inside the cab.
Then, the suspect got out of the cab and fled in an unknown direction.
Police are looking for the man, described as a black male, about 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He has medium complexion, a beard, and was wearing an orange top, gray jogging pants and gray Air Jordans. He was armed with a knife.
The driver was taken to the hospital but his condition is not known.
