Wayne State to honor outstanding alumni today

The College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University will honor outstanding alumni during its 37th Arts Achievement Awards today.

The former students of WSU will be recognized during the event for achievements in their respective fields.

Lynne Avadenka, James Curnow, Della Hamby, Shawn Kahle and Sam Richardson will be among the honorees.
 
Wayne State's Arts Achievement Awards event takes place today in the ballroom of the university's renovated Student Center.

Co-creator of "The Big Bang Theory" Bill Prady is expected to be honored at next year's awards show.
