Comcast worker shot in drive-by shooting in Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured a Comcast worker.

The shooting happened Friday at around 4:45 p.m. int eh 20200 block of Rowe. That's near Hoover and 8 Mile in northeast Detroit.

Police say the 58-year-old man was standing on the porch when a black man, driving a newer black Dodge Durango drove by firing shots.

The Comcast worker was hit in the body. He is listed in temp-serious condition at a local hospital.

Comcast released this brief statement in response to the shooting:

I work locally for Comcast. At this time, the Detroit Police would have any information that can be shared.
