The city of Detroit is introducing 24-hour DDOT bus service on some routes beginning Saturday, Jan. 23.
Routes on Woodward, Gratiot and Grand River will have the 24-hour service, according to the city. There will also be changes and improvements to more than 15 other routes.
Those changes include a reconfiguration of bus routes in northeast Detroit and Harper Woods. For example, Eastland Center will be served by enhanced service on Eight Mile rather than buses from Mack and Gratiot.
Changes will be implemented on the following routes:
- #16 Dexter
- #17 Eight Mile
- #18 Fenkell
- #19 Fort
- #21 Grand River
- #23 Hamilton
- #25 Jefferson
- #27 Joy
- #29 Linwood
- #31 Mack
- #32 McNichols
- #34 Gratiot
- #41 Schaefer
- #45 Seven Mile
- #53 Woodward
