DDP launches interactive 3D map of downtown Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Downtown Detroit Partnership has finally launched an interactive, 3D map that was first unveiled at the Detroit Development Stakeholder meeting in the fall.

The group partnered with Garsdale Design, an English-based company that specializes in architecture, planning, urban design and more.

In the map, you can navigate throughout downtown Detroit, zooming in and out. It also shows the 21 different projects completed or currently under construction in the city. Those outlined in blue are current projects, green are projects completed in 2018 and orange represents future projects.

When you click on a building, it gives you several details about it, including the estimated height, estimated completion date, a description of what it is and more.
