The Detroit City Clerk's Office in the New Center area was closed early on Friday afternoon after what's being called "environmental issues." It was believed that a bed bug was found, but according to the county, there were no bugs found.

Our cameras were rolling as pest control got called out to the location on West Grand Blvd. just east of the Lodge.

The alleged bed bug was found at about 11 a.m., but employees and visitors left just after 12:30 p.m. After pest control swept the building, they found no bugs.

The city says safety is its number one priority at all offices, and it's expected the office will reopen Monday.
