Detroit police have busted a chop shop connected to the thefts of cars from the 2015 Woodward Dream Cruise.
The chop shop was on Cheyenne on Detroit's west side.
Six people have been arrested. Three of them are adults, the other three are juveniles. Officers are still looking for one person in the case.
Police are not releasing many details at this point. However, they say it is unclear how many cars are involved and how long the thefts have been going on.
Police have linked the auto theft ring to the thefts of three cars at the Dream Cruise, including the Papa Johns Camaro. While that car was recovered, a 1966 Chevelle and a 1966 Corvette have not been found.
Officers say the recovery of the Papa Johns Camaro actually helped them bust the chop shop. They were able to recover fingerprints from the car. That led to surveillance of the home where the chop shop was busted.
Police say the chop shop is also linked to cars stolen from the Ford Plant is Dearborn.
