Detroit Police Chief James Craig held a press conference on Monday and he is expected to touch on a variety of issues.
Craig outlined a three-tier plan that he said will take back the city. He said it will start in the 8th Precinct.
He also discussed the recent violence against children in the city. In the last month, a 3-year-old girl was shot and killed, a 6-month-old girl was shot and killed and a 4-year-old boy was shot and injured.
Craig also mentioned that the peace rallies in the city "do not work," saying they are only good for five minutes.
On Twitter, Detroit police were discussing how criminals will get no passes with the department, with the community, and they plan to take back Detroit.
