Detroit Police are investigating a stabbing and a shooting between two men on Tuesday night.

It happened on Lumpkin and Conant Streets just south of 8 Mile on the east side at 7:30.

Police say one pulled a knife and one pulled a handgun.

“The 47-year-old cut the 37-year-old in the face and head. The victim had a CPL, and fired shots back at him,” said Police Captain Darin Szialgy on the scene.

Police also say the 47-year-old man ran over to Conant, collapsed in the middle of the street and later died.

The 37-year-old man is in stable condition. Police say the argument was over only $100.

“Yeah ridiculous. Hopefully the criminal justice system will show them how ridiculous it is,” Captain Szialgy said.
