Detroit police have released surveillance video in the hopes it will lead to suspects in the shooting of a 15-year-old boy.
The shooting happened shortly before 7:40 p.m. Thursday in the area of Promenade and Chalmers on the city's east side.
Police say the victim was traveling westbound on Promenade in a gold 1998 Buick Park Avenue when a blue pick-up truck traveling northbound on Chalmers blocked the car from exiting the intersection.
The video then shows an unknown gunman approaching from behind the Buick and then opening fire.
The victim was hit multiple times. He was able to drive to a business in the 900 block of Chalmers, where police were called.
The victim's injuries are not considered life-threatening. The victim has not been identified. The victim is listed in temporary serious condition.
The gunman took off running in an unknown direction. Police do not have a description of him.
The driver of the blue pick-up is being called a Person of Interest in the case.
