Detroit police are searching for a silver or white Chevy Impala with windshield damage in connection with a deadly hit and run accident.
It happened Friday evening on Randolph Street downtown.
7 Action News has learned the victim is 64-year-old Maurice Mims, a street artist who was popular in Greektown. He is also a veteran and was in the Marines.
Officers say the Impala was driving erratically, swerving around several cars, when it struck the man in the crosswalk.
The only description of the driver police have released is that he is a white male.
Anyone with information in this case is asked to call the Detroit Police Department.
