Detroit police search for hit and run driver that injured two children

Posted

Detroit police are searching for the driver who crossed the center line and slammed into a minivan where a mother was driving her two children.

The driver who caused the crash, calmly got out of the wrecked burgundy Chevy Suburban and walked away, without checking on the injuries of the people in the minivan.

We're told a two-year-old and a teenager sustained minor injuries.

Thankfully, that mystery hit and run driver was caught on surveillance video and Detroit Police are hoping someone can help identify him.

The crash happened Monday, April 24 at 6:35 pm on Seven Mile near Van Dyke on Detroit's east side.

Click on the video to see if you recognize the driver.

Anyone with any information on him is urged to call investigators with the Detroit Police Fatal Squad at 313-596-2280 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
