Officials say all staff must report to work or take a leave day.

We're told the sick-out is partially in response to Governor Snyder's remarks about the district in his State of the State address.

The sick-out comes as President Obama is in Detroit. Because of the president's visit, the head of the teacher's union asked that teachers not hold a sickout in protest.
