The 45-year-old director of a sober living house remains in jail as prosecutors decide whether he will face charges in the fatal shooting of an ex-employee.
Jerome Davis, 56, told a friend that he was recently fired from the sober living house on Packard near 7 Mile Road on Detroit's east side. But he also said that the director still owed him money.
Davis reportedly moved out two days ago, but it seems he may have left some belongings at the house where neighbors say a number of other men also reside in the program.
Detroit Police say the director called Davis and told him that he needed to remove the rest of his items, but when Davis arrived there was a confrontation.
The director shot and killed Davis.
Police say the director's sister and son were taken into custody, but they have been released.
