Officials say they have captured Rowvontae Walker, a parole absconder who walked away after being taken into custody Wednesday night.
No details have been released on where or when Walker was recaptured. However, officials do say that tips led to his arrest.
Walker escaped the Lawton parole office on Wednesday afternoon.
It was during a route parole checkup that Walker quickly realized things were going south. He was shackled and handcuffed when questioning began about a carjacking on January 15.
Not long into the questions, the parole officer looked away. It was just a split second, but by the time the parole officer looked up, Walker was walking down the hall, out the door and onto the streets.
The search for him lasted more than 24 hours.
