ARISE Detroit's "Neighborhoods Rising" exhibit, which had a two month run at the Detroit Historical Museum, is now open at the main branch of the Detroit Public Library.

The exhibit focuses on the neighborhood people and programs that have partnered with ARISE Detroit! since the community mobilization nonprofit began in 2006. It features more than 200 photos and dozens of artifacts that have been part of the annual ARISE Detroit! Neighborhoods Day, Neighborhoods Summit, and other activities.

The free exhibit will remain open through August 31.

ARISE Detroit! will host a special Community Day public showing of the exhibit on Tuesday, August 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The main branch of the Detroit Public Library is located at 5201 Woodward Avenue. For library hours and other information, call 313-481-1300.
