Family members of 26-year-old mother Shontell Franklin tell us she had her whole life ahead of her, but her dreams were taken away on Labor Day.
They say she was on her way to a barbecue with two men when they got into a crash with another car near Linsdale and Northfield on the city's west side.
Police say the car she was in had been stolen, and the two men inside ran away, leaving her to die.
They say the other car was a rental, and two men inside that car also left the scene.
Family members say Franklin leaves behind an 8-month-old daughter.
They pleaded for the suspects to turn themselves in, wondering who these so-called "friends" are who would not check on her.
Investigators say at least two of the suspects hopped into another car that pulled up, and drove away.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the suspects in the case.
